Well, I think the proverbial cat is now out of the bag. After nearly ten years at Springthrough, I’m moving on in my career. There are no ill-feelings, no burned bridges; it’s just time.
Ten years ago, I was a freshman in college looking to expand my development career. Springthrough was a perfect fit – flexible enough for a college student’s schedule, new and exciting, and I had endless opportunities to learn new things and meet new people. I’ve learned the ins and outs of a consulting practice, how to interact with coworkers and customers, how to manage projects and development teams. I’ve interacted with and done business for more businesses around the state than I could possibly remember, and I’ve found friends of all sorts along the way.
Monday, I start a new adventure. I’ll be heading up the web development team at Global Forex Trading. I’ll be able to put in practice many of the things I’ve learned in the last decade, but with a little more focus. I’m very excited about the team I’ll be joining, and a little somber to be leaving a team behind.
So, to Springthrough, which has been a second home for almost a decade (sometimes to the dismay of my poor wife), I wish you the utmost of success. I’m sure I will see many of you often in the future. Julie, I’m done logging my hours. And to Global Forex, ready or not, here I come.
